Shannonis a licensed naturopathic doctor and a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Before moving to Toronto from the United States, she completed her bachelor of science at the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Biology and Ecology. She decided to pursue naturopathic medicine after being let down multiple times by the conventional medical system while struggling with her own health issues. With a strong background in nutrition, she believes in getting back to basics with health and encourages her patients to begin with simple changes. While at CCNM, she completed a one year clinical internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic while also spending a semester at the Parkdale Community Health Centre. She has a particular interest in endocrine and cardiovascular conditions and takes an individualized approach to each patient. Shannon has traveled extensively throughout the Amazon rainforest to study medicinal properties of indigenous plants and has a strong interest in botanical medicine. In her free time, she enjoys travelling anywhere warm, eating sushi with her husband and playing fetch with her cat.
